Every year, dozens of children are left unattended in vehicles when an ordinary drive breaks pattern. Backseat Alarm turns the phone you already carry into a quiet, persistent reminder to check the back seat before you lock and walk away.
Backseat Alarm is a child-safety companion app that watches your phone's movement while you drive. Start a drive, or let a daily schedule arm it for you, and the app follows the car's motion through GPS. If the vehicle stays stopped for more than three minutes, a loud alarm and notification prompt you to look back before you leave. The alarm only clears when you press and hold to confirm you checked the back seat — a deliberate, two-second habit built around the phrase "look before you lock."
It's built for parents, grandparents, childminders, and anyone who drives with a child on board and wants one more layer of reassurance on a busy, distracted day. It is designed to be effortless until the single moment that matters most, sitting quietly in the background and stepping in only when a routine could otherwise slip.
